He said, "Then if you follow me, (do) not ask me about anything until I present to you of it a mention."
View 80 More Translations ↓Said [the sage]: "Well, then, if thou art to follow me, do not question me about aught [that I may do] until I myself give thee an account thereof."
Said he, 'Then if thou followest me, question me not on anything until I myself introduce the mention of it to thee.
The other said: "If then thou wouldst follow me, ask me no questions about anything until I myself speak to thee concerning it."
قَالَ فَإِنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَنِی فَلَا تَسۡءَلۡنِی عَن شَیۡءٍ حَتَّىٰۤ أُحۡدِثَ لَكَ مِنۡهُ ذِكۡرࣰا ٧٠
qāla fa-ini ittabaʿtanī falā tasalnī ʿan shayin ḥattā uḥ'ditha laka min'hu dhik'ra
